Muhammad Taqiuddin Cheman stands as the Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) candidate within the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which is chaired by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The coalition brings together PKR, DAP and Amanah in a unified slate fielded across all 56 Johor state constituencies.
The Maharani constituency forms part of the broader battleground that will decide control of the Johor State Legislative Assembly. Pakatan Harapan is contesting all 56 state seats in a direct challenge across both urban and rural Johor.
As an Amanah candidate, Muhammad Taqiuddin Cheman champions Pakatan Harapan's agenda of progressive, inclusive and ethical governance rooted in the Malaysia Madani vision. Amanah is contesting 19 of the coalition's 56 Johor seats.
