Malaysia Moves to Prosecute Child Sexual Abusers Operating Overseas
Malaysia is strengthening its legal framework to prosecute child sexual abusers who operate overseas. The amended Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 will now apply to crimes committed abroad involving Malaysian citizens, permanent residents, or those with habitual residence in the country.
