Sri Lankan court sentences ex-police chief to death over Easter 2019 bombings
A Sri Lankan court has sentenced former police chief Pujith Jayasundara to death for his failure to prevent the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings. The attacks killed 279 people, including 45 foreigners, across churches and hotels.
